Can you adjust my Invoice so I don't have to pay fees? (International Orders)

We cannot list any amount other than the actual amount paid by you on invoices or customs forms. Please do not ask us to list a lower amount, or list your order as a "gift", as this would be illegal for us to do.

If you are receiving a replacement item, you may be responsible for the import taxes and duties related to your shipment. Every country has its own laws and unfortunately, we do not have any control over this.

Also please be aware that all sales on the Pro-Line website are made in US Currencies. Any fees or expenses charged from the credit card company or customs office are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

Should I refuse the delivery of a package?

Pro-Line does NOT recommend refusing the delivery of purchased goods under any circumstances. We have specific procedures in place to assist all customers with the return and exchange of an item. Refusing a package will increase the amount of time it will take to reach a satisfactory resolution.

Refused packages will not be eligible to receive an exchange for a new product.

Once the original shipment is returned to our warehouse, it will automatically be processed as a refund of the purchase price LESS the return shipping cost, non-refundable deposits, and international return fees and taxes (if applicable).

If you have an item that you wish to return please contact us through our support portal here: https://www.prolineracing.com/contact

Why does it seem like it is taking so long to fill my order?

All orders typically take 5 business days to fill after they have been entered into our main system. Orders placed after 12pm are not processed until the following business day. Also, we are closed on the weekend so any orders placed on the website after 12pm on a Friday will not be processed until the following Monday. This means that they will not be shipped for 5 days after entry on Monday. Here is a helpful table for telling when you should expect your order to leave our building.

ORDER PLACED Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday
ORDER SHIPPED

Monday the following week The following Monday The following Tuesday The following Wednesday The following Thursday The following Friday Monday the following week

Please Note: If there is an item that is delayed this can prevent your order from shipping within 5 days. If this is the case you will be notified of an estimated ship date by e-mail or by phone. You can also check your order status by logging into your account on the Pro-Line website and clicking under "Tracking".

Do you sell Gift Certificates?

Yes, you can purchase Gift Certificates on our website by entering "certificate" in the search field. They are available in a $25, $50 or $100 value.

Why did the money come out of my account before my items were shipped?

Our system will automatically bill all orders that are placed on our website. Therefore, all orders are Prepaid at the time they are placed.

When an item says it is out of stock when will it be back in stock?

The inventory levels on our website will update constantly so be sure to check back with us. You can also sign up to add the item to your "watch list". This means you can automatically receive an e-mail when this item is available again so you can get an order entered for what you are looking for.

Please note: items may come in and out of stock quickly (especially if there is a high demand) so you may not be able to order it even if you received the notification. We recommend that you place your order as soon as possible after getting the notification to be sure that you are in line to receive them.

Do you have a hobby shop that I can come purchase items from?

No, we do not have a storefront here at Pro-Line. However, you can place an order over the phone for will call. This way we get your order processed and give you a call when it’s ready to pick up. We still ask for 48-hrs notice on these orders but you do save on the shipping cost.

Can I have my own carrier pick it up from you directly?

Unfortunately, this is not a service that we offer at this time. We currently use FedEx and USPS for the shipping on all orders.

I’m looking for an older discontinued item from Pro-Line, do you still have them or can you make them?

Unfortunately, when an item is discontinued there is typically no stock remaining and it is no longer available. Our best recommendation is to check with your local hobby retailers, one of our distributors, or an online mail-order company on the internet to locate these items.

How can I cancel or change my order?

We do our best to make changes to orders to meet our customers’ demands. However, you can only cancel or change your order if it has not yet left the building. If you would like to cancel or make changes to your order please contact us directly at 1-951-849-9781 for the fastest possible processing. Please have your order number ready. Please note: credits and refunds can take 5-7 business days for your bank to post to your account.

If the order has already left the building, we would need to receive the products you wish to return back in order to process a refund. Shipping cost is not covered by Pro-Line for items that are returned for refund or exchange. Also, you will need a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) in order to send a return so please contact us directly to get the process started.  https://www.prolineracing.com/contact

I think my order is lost in transit. How can I tell?

If you think your order is lost in transit and you have already checked the tracking number with the carrier, please let us know you are having trouble and we will be more than happy to look into it further on our side. Typically transit time can be 3-5 business days depending on your location. International orders may take a bit longer due to customs. Also, international customers are encouraged to contact their customs hub for any additional information.

How can I get my username and/or password to access my account?

If you have registered for a Pro-Line account we can look up your user name with your last name or e-mail address. However, we do not have access to your password. You can request a temporary password from the login section of the website.

How do I make changes to my account once I have registered?

I received the wrong part, what should I do?

If you received the wrong part or something that was miss-marked or miss-packaged please let our customer service department know by submitting a support ticket and they will review the next steps.

Will your bodies fit my chassis?

If your kit is not specifically mentioned in the fits section for a body you may still be in luck. The best place to start is the pick-by kit. If it’s not specifically stated due to the variances of shock tower positions and body mount locations; it is very difficult to say whether our existing bodies will successfully mount onto your chassis. With the correct mounting procedure and cutouts, you may be able to get them to fit. However, because we cannot give you a definite answer our suggestion would be to take your chassis to your local hobby shop and test-fit the body prior to purchasing just to make sure that there wouldn’t be something that would stop you inevitably.

Is it possible to purchase the featured decals or window templates for any of the Pro-Line/PROTOform bodies?

Yes, we are more than happy to sell any current body decal sheet or window mask set directly. All you would need to do is to visit our website and search for the part number 9905-01. Or click HERE. This is the part number we use for any lost or misplaced decal order requests. When you place your order just be sure to reference the part number for the specific body within the comments section of your order and we will proceed accordingly.

Please note: If the body has been discontinued and is no longer available there is a possibility that we no longer have the decal sheets available in stock. We will make every effort to fill your request whenever possible. If they are not available you will be provided with a full refund of the decal order.

If you want the entire accessory pack (including windows, decals, hardware) they can be purchased from us directly. Why was an item/items discontinued so fast and how can I still locate one?

An item is typically discontinued due to lack of sales or lack of demand. They can also be discontinued if we are replacing it with something better that will make your RC experience even more enjoyable. You can sometimes still find them available. Our best recommendation is to check with your local hobby retailers, one of our distributors, or an online mail-order company on the internet to locate these items.

I just need to purchase one small replacement part and not a whole package can you help me?

We do sell many parts that are included with our assembled items separately as support items. Prices and availability may vary but please feel free to contact us directly for complete details. Your hobby shop can also order them directly from Pro-Line for you but you may have to specifically ask them to.

Do you have any hi-resolution pictures or logos?

Yes you can find our hi-resolution pictures here and our logos are here. You are welcome to use the photos and logos as long as you do not plan to produce any products of any kind (i.e. making decals to sell).

TIRE QUESTIONS
What is the difference between the material compounds?

We currently offer several materials. We have (Medium), (Soft), (Super Soft), (Clay) (Medium Carpet), and (Soft Carpet)

- The more firm material will give you the longest tread wear. So if you want your tires to last a long time choose Medium.

- The softer material is used when more traction is desired. The Medium will give you better tread life but less traction. The soft tires will wear out more quickly but will give you better performance and traction.

- The Super Soft is the softest that we offer and will give you the maximum in traction (but less tread life). The Soft is more firm than the Super Soft and so will give you a long tread life compared to the Super Soft.

- The Clay material is made specifically for hard-packed Clay surfaces.

- The Medium and Soft Carpet material is made specifically for carpet and/or AstroTurf applications. The wear and traction characteristics are similar to the regular Medium/Soft tires.

Also, keep in mind that the higher the temperature of the surface will naturally soften the material. So you may start out with soft and apply it to a hot surface. This will give you similar traction and performance as super soft material. This is similar to a cold surface. If the surface is colder and you use a soft material it will give you similar traction and performance as a medium material tire.

A great place to start is our Tire Selector Tool: https://www.prolineracing.com/pro-bs-tire-selector.html

What is the best tire to use when you’re only running on asphalt or concrete?

The best thing to do is to check out our Tire Selector Tool for your specific vehicle and surface.

https://www.prolineracing.com/pro-bs-tire-selector.html

How do I know what tire to use and when? And what tires wear the best?

Keep in mind that all surfaces, driving styles, and surface temps vary. You can use our application guides to better aid in your decision-making. It is also a good idea to see what locals are using and what store owners recommend.

Typically the more firm the material the longer the tires will last. Also, the more aggressive the tire tread design the longer the tire will last because there is more material. However, the faster you drive the faster your tires will wear out so a lot of the wear will depend on your style.

You can also check out our Tire Selector Tool: https://www.prolineracing.com/pro-bs-tire-selector.html

There is a dot on the side of my tire. What does that mean?

The color dot is something that Pro-Line has added to the sidewall of all our tires. This identifies the compound of the tire. The color represents the material the tires are made out of. A color dot chart can be found on our website under the Application Guides and Charts section.

What is the best tire to use when you’re doing a lot of running on a mix of asphalt, concrete, grass, and dirt?

The best thing to do is to check out our Tire Selector Tool for your specific vehicle and surface.

https://www.prolineracing.com/pro-bs-tire-selector.html

What glue should I use on my tires?

We recommend a specific formula of glue for bonding the rubber to the nylon wheel. Your local hobby shop should know which one to use but the important thing is to make sure the glue is a Cyanoacrylate (CA) type. Another thing to consider is the thickness of the glue. The thicker the glue the longer it will take to dry. So, if you are new to tire mounting you may want to stick with thicker glue at first so you can reposition the tire if it gets off-center. Once you have some experience you can move to thin glue because it’s faster drying.

What does "truck tires" mean and what trucks do these tires fit?

Truck tires are generally tires that are made for a 1:10 truck. A majority of our truck tires are designed to fit truck wheels that are either 2.2" size or 2.8" size.

Why can’t I fit the 2.2" tires I like on my 2.2"/3.0" Short Course wheels?

The 2.2"/3.0" wheels have an outside diameter of 2.2" and an inside diameter of 3.0" and the regular 2.2" tires are the same size on both sides of the tire. It is for this reason that they will not work interchangeably.

Why are my wheels and tires wobbly when I accelerate?

Depending on the size of the wheels and tires they may require balancing for optimum performance. You can do this using an airplane prop balancer and lead golf weights. We also have a video posted related to balancing your tires under our how-to tips that may be helpful. You can always ask at your local hobby shop or call us if you need more information at 1-951-849-9781.

Do you offer any foam tires?

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer any foam tires.

What is the difference between the Trencher X and the Trencher tires?

The Trencher is the original design of the Trencher tread pattern. The Trencher X is the newer version and is a bit wider than the original trencher tire to give you even more traction than ever before!

What do I do if my foam bunches up?

If you are willing to spend a little time with the tires, you have a couple of options. You can work the foam back into place. Or, you can dissolve the glue on one side of the tire with acetone (use safety precautions). Once you do this you can pull out the old foam and insert a new foam inside. You can then re-glue the tire onto the wheel. If you have any trouble with this process or want to ask for more tips feel free to submit a ticket and our customer service team will be happy to help!

Why do my G8 tires have powder-like spots on them?

What you are seeing is called bloom. It is some unreacted ingredient in the rubber material that can come out. Unfortunately, this is unavoidable with the G8 material specifically but should only happen in certain conditions. It should wear off with use but you can also spray the tires with an automotive tire shine cleaner to remove them. If you feel that the bloom is exceedingly bad please feel free to submit a ticket and our customer service team will be happy to review it.

How do I keep my tires from inflating when I am on the gas?

Rubber tires will naturally expand when you accelerate. The faster you go the more expansion will happen. The best way to keep your tires from overinflating when you accelerate is to make sure they are properly vented. The process for this can be found on our website under the how-to tips

If this does not help you can always try belting the tires. Belting is when you take threaded tape (like duct tape) and tape the inside of the tire (between the rubber carcass and the foam insert) to create a belt around the tire itself. However, sometimes this is not appropriate. Your local hobby shop is a great resource for this process but please feel free to call us to find out if this will be the best solution in your situation.

Pro-Line has a variety of tires that come with the belts already installed so be sure to check out the website.

Why are my tire foams so much bigger than my tires? Do I have the wrong size foams? How do I trim them and what is the suggested trimming method?

Sometimes the foam inserts appear to be larger than the tires. This does not mean they are the wrong foams it just means that one foam insert is used for many different types of tires. You can trim the foam insert to make it match the profile of your tire. The suggested method for doing this can be found on our website under the how-to tips.

Do you make touring car tires?

Currently, we do not offer any touring car tires but we do offer some for VTA

What is the expected tread life of a tire?

Tread life will greatly depend on the surface the tire is being used on and the way the user controls the vehicle. Keep in mind softer compound tires will usually wear faster than harder ones and the surface temperature can make the tires softer and have an impact on the wear.

What is your best tire(s) for hard-packed dirt tracks?

We usually recommend a small pin tire for hard-packed dirt track racing. An example of this is the Positron tire. We offer the Positron tire for many different vehicles but you can see what they look like HERE. You can also check out the Pro-Line Tire Selector Tool for something more specific to your application: https://www.prolineracing.com/pro-bs-tire-selector.html

WHEEL QUESTIONS
Do you have wheels for my TRAXXAS® Rustler® or Stampede®?

We currently offer a few different style wheels in a couple of different designs to fit your Traxxas product. Please refer to the pick by kit section of the website to find products that are designed for your kit.

I am missing some hardware from my wheels can you help?

We are sorry to hear that you did not receive all the hardware that should have been included with your wheel package. We will be happy to get you the replacement hardware that you need. Please feel free to submit a support ticket including the wheel part number and your complete mailing information and we will be more than happy to proceed accordingly.

Is it possible to have custom wheels made?

Unfortunately, we are not currently able to offer any custom wheels at this time. However, we will be happy to take your suggestions into consideration for future product ideas.

How many touring car wheels do you have and what cars do they fit?

Unfortunately, we do not currently have any touring car wheels at this time.

Should I put a hole in my wheels to vent the tire?

We definitely recommend putting holes in your wheels to vent the tire. Many of our wheel designs are currently offered with pre-drilled holes. Complete tire mounting tips can be found here. If using a closed-cell foam we also recommend venting the tire as well since the foam can block the hole in the wheel causing air to remain trapped in the tire.

Do you make any aluminum wheels?

Yes, we do have an Aluminum Composite wheel for some of our Rock Crawling tires. They are called the Rock Shooter. Check them out HERE.

Can I re-use my wheels when the tires are worn out?

Yes, you can re-use your wheels when your tires are used to the extent of their life. There are many ways of removing your tires from your wheels. Some people boil, bake or pry the tires off the wheels. This may work but can damage the wheels and warp them (not to mention a bad smell and a ruined pan).

One team driver sent us this process but it has not been tested in house:
Put 1 gallon of acetone in a 5-gallon bucket. Place some bricks in the bottom so the wheel sits out of the liquid. Put the lid on and let sit for a few days, the fumes will release the glue. Make sure the bucket is always sealed because the acetone will evaporate very fast and make sure to use "High Strength Industrial Acetone".

Please be sure to use caution and the appropriate protection when handling any chemicals.

To be on the safe side you may want to ask at your local hobby shop for a tried and true method. Just make sure you are able to get all the rubber off the wheels (you can use a hobby knife or Dremel if all else fails).

What type of glue should I use?

We recommend a specific formula of glue for bonding the rubber to the nylon wheel. Your local hobby shop should know which one to use but the important thing is to make sure the glue is a Cyanoacrylate (CA) type. We have formulated a special blend that we feel works best for this and we highly recommend using Pro-Line Tire Glue

What color wheels do you make?

We currently offer a few different wheel colors depending on the type of vehicle. Typically we offer wheels in black, white, and yellow.

PRO-LINE BODY QUESTIONS
What kinds of Off-Road bodies do you make and what do they fit?

We currently offer several different types of Off-Road bodies for several different chassis types.

To see our complete lineup go to the bodies section and pick the class you are looking for.

What do your bodies come with?

All Pro-Line bodies are made from high-quality crystal clear polycarbonate material. A majority of the time the bodies will include decals and a window mask used for painting. In most cases, a molded attachable spoiler and hardware will also be included.

Why are some bodies available pre-cut and some are not?

Pro-Line's ultimate goal is to have as many bodies pre-cut as possible. That's why you may see a body released that is pre-cut when there are many existing options available that are not pre-cut.

My decals are not all cut out, is this correct?

Yes, you are correct. We do not include decals that are cut out. They are one large sheet. You can easily cut them out using hobby scissors or a hobby knife.

When I purchase a body, does it come painted like the ones in the magazine?

Most Pro-Line and PROTOform bodies are sold clear, and it is up to you or your painter to create a paint scheme for it. If you aren’t sure how to go about painting your body, check out our body painting tips here. Or you can always refer to a painter to create a custom-made look just for you. Recently we have added a few pre-painted bodies to our lineup and maybe adding more in the near future

What is included on the decal sheets that come with the Pro-Line bodies?

The decals are specific headlights, taillights, grills, and details for the type of body. Also, you get Pro-Line and vehicle brand name logos. Hand Painted designs pictured on an advertisement are not included on the decal sheet.

How do I paint my body?

Painting is an art form and it can be difficult depending on the colors and detail but we have a few helpful tools that you can use. Refer to our Body Painting and Trimming Tips portion of our website.

There is a residue left on the body from the window masks or masking tape. How do I remove it?

We use masking tape (the normal yellow/brown tape) to dab onto the leftover glue. (Glue onto glue is the best method of removing any leftover masking residue). Fold the tape onto itself to make it double-sided. Hold the tape and press your thumb like your pressing the spacebar on the keyboard applying pressure to the leftover glue then lift the tape. Do this repeatedly until the glue starts to lift (pressing hard and fast). You'll start to see some residue getting picked up from the tape. Make a new piece once that one has lost its power to pull.

Why did this happen?
Residual glue is usually left when the masking is not pressed firmly and there is an air pocket under the masking. Heat and some paint vapors make tape glue soft leaving residue when removed. Never use any chemicals to try and remove the residue as they only smear the glue around and will not remove it fully.

How do I mount my body?

Mounting bodies can be quite tricky. But we have found that the easiest way to mount a body with no pre-marked holes is to first set the body on the vehicle and draw with a marker or compass where you want the holes to be on the outside of the body. All bodies come with paint-then-peel overspray film so marking the holes will not be permanent. After you paint it you can easily make the holes in where you have them marked using a body reamer or Dremel. More details can be found on our Body Painting and Trimming Tips portion of our website.

Another really useful tool for mounting your body is the PROTOform Cross Hair Body Mounting kit

Will your bodies fit my chassis?

If your kit is not specifically mentioned in the fits section for a body you may still be in luck. The best place to start is the pick-by kit for your specific class. If your vehicle is not specifically stated on the pick by kit listing you may still be in luck. However, due to the variances of shock tower positions and body mount locations; it is very difficult to say whether our existing bodies will successfully mount onto your chassis.

Is it possible to have a body custom-made?

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer this option. However, we appreciate your ideas and will take your suggestions into consideration for future product ideas.

This Flo-Tek body is awesome! How do I cut it out?

We are glad you like your new Flo-Tek body. We have an instructional video posted to the product page here. This is a helpful video that shows you a few different ways to cut out this innovative body.

Can I purchase older discontinued bodies from Pro-Line?

Unfortunately, when an item is discontinued there is typically no stock remaining and it is no longer available. Our best recommendation is to check with your local hobby retailers, one of ourdistributors, or an online mail-order company on the internet to locate these items.

Does Pro-Line offer any painting services?

Unfortunately, we do not offer any type of painting services at this time. However, you may be able to find a local painter in your area. You may want to check with your local hobby shop and see if they have any references they can provide. We also offer a few different body designs that are pre-painted.

PROTOFORM BODY QUESTIONS
When I purchase a body, does it come painted like the ones in the magazine?

All Pro-Line and PROTOform bodies are sold clear, and it is up to you to create a paint scheme for it.

How do I paint my body?

Refer to our Body Painting and Trimming Tips portion of our website.

Do I get anything with the body?

In most cases, the decals included specific headlights, taillights, grills, and details for the type of body. Also, you get PROTOform and vehicle brand name logos. Any design elements and/or branded style decals and hand-painted designs are not included as a decal.

What is a window mask?

The window masks are used for masking off the windows, so they will remain clear after you paint the body. PROTOform has cut out each window mask to precisely fit each body style. In some cases, the body will not include window masks.

How do I mount up my touring car wing?

We have a very helpful tip section where you can find complete details on touring car wing mounting including pictures. It details trimming, using the spill plates and wing mounting position characteristics.

PARTS & ACCESSORIES QUESTIONS
My accessory didn’t include instructions, what now?

To help save on cost and to help the environment Pro-Line does not include instructions with every accessory. We do have all the information you need, as well as many instructional videos on our website under How To Tips. You can also typically find information about set-up and installation on the product page related to the part you purchased. To find the product page you can simply enter the part number for the item in the top right corner search field and it will pull up any related item to that number.

If you are still unclear or have additional questions that were not addressed please feel free to submit a support ticket with the specific item you purchased.

Will the ProTrac™ Suspension Kit Work on my Slash 4x4?

We did have a ProTrac suspension kit available for the Slash 4x4 unfortunately it has been discontinued and is no longer available.

Do you have any ProTrac™ Suspension Kit set-up sheets?

Yes, we do, they are located under the How-To Tips / Set-Up Sheets and Suspension Kit product page.

I just need to purchase one small replacement part and not a whole packaged kit can you help me?

We do sell many parts that are included with our assembled items (like the shock components and bead-loc wheel parts) separately as support items. Prices and availability may vary but please feel free to contact us directly for complete details. Feel free to submit a support ticket including the part number and your complete mailing information and we will be more than happy to proceed accordingly.

Your hobby shop can also purchase them for you directly if you prefer but you may have to specifically ask them to.

What is the best shock Set up (starting point) for my SC truck using the PowerStroke SC Shocks?

The best shock setup will vary depending on the vehicle, the weight, and the surface the vehicle is being used on. Oil is not included with our shocks but you can purchase many different weights from your local hobby shop. Typically you can start with 45wt oil in the front and 40wt oil in the rear with the normal stock set up on springs. The thinner oil you use the stiffer the springs you need because the faster the oil will go through the piston. The thicker the oil the less stiff you need the springs to be.

We also currently have a Power Stroke shock tuning guide posted to our website HERE. This guide details the differences in the dampening rates for each spring option.
