Lets start this by stating I love racing! lol! I got the privilege of making it out to Dayton, VA with my lovely girlfriend Haven for the annual Tilted Worlds race. We made it out Friday afternoon, and got to hang out with all the race buddies and learn the in’s and out’s of the track.

Tiltyard 8

Had an incredible weekend at the Tiltyard! Raced E-Buggy and 4WD SCT. Had a pretty rough time with qualifiers. E-Buggy would start good, then a screw in the center diff would slightly back out, and lock up the car, and then also strip the spur gear. So, that ended that run. Somehow I managed to miss the first SCT qualifier by not being where I was supposed to be.. Whoops..

Attended the January Thaw shootout at Adrenaline RC, and had a blast! This facility is hands down, amazing! Lots of good competition, and friendly faces make it that much better! Ran E-Buggy, and 4WD SCT this time around, and managed to grab the TQ position with my Tekno SCT410.

I decided to run M4 Suburbs, and I couldn’t ask for a better tire! Coupled with the Flo-Tek body, I was driving on Velcro. Read the rest of this entry »

This passed Memorial Day weekend 28-29 May, 2016 was a great weekend! This was the 2nd Annual 2016 FTM championships Held at G’s R/C Raceway. I managed to run three classes and for whatever reason this was a very interesting yet awesome weekend.

“I started off the day running M3 Stunners, and as the day progressed I changed to M3 Blockades. I couldn’t be more planted.” Read the rest of this entry »

This passed weekend was the first time since last winter season I have made it back to Bumps and Jumps in Etters, PA. Much like the previous visits, the competition was fierce, and the layout is always very fun, and smooth flowing. For those whom may have never heard of “Bumps” before, it is a great facility that offers not only off-road racing, but Oval racing as well. The jumps are constructed from wood, and hats off to whoever made them, because they give great lift, and are able to be maneuvered with ease, so layout changes can be done in a matter of minutes.

2nd Place in a 12 race points series

2nd Place in a 12 race points series

This passed weekend at G’s R/c Raceway was a complete success! I decided to run my Tekno SCT410, ET48 and Team Associated B5M for the final points race of a 12 race series. The 2WD class was mainly for more track time. :) I was able to sneak away with the TQ and WIN in both of the 4WD SCT, and E-Truggy classes.

I know that running the Pro-Line Tires were the best decision I could have made throughout the entire series. Read the rest of this entry »

The Mid-Atlantic Winter Series 2014-2015 was a great success. The three tracks involved were McCullough’s, Bumps and Jumps, and Railyard Hobbies. Each track offering a variety of different layouts, track conditions, and a very competitive turnout at each location.

I ran 3 classes, and those being 4WD Mod SCT, 2WD Mod Buggy, and of course the 2WD SCT with the PRO-2 SC truck. Each track had their slight variances; McCullough’s was an obvious choice to follow the Pro-Line Recommended Tire Compound Chart, with temperatures ranging down to 45°F and colder at times. Although the staff was well prepared to keep the temps at a comfortable temperature range, the track was a different story. Although, the local recommendations were right on point, with running ghosted M4 Suburbs on all vehicles.

Bumps and Jumps hosted the second round  of the three leg series. The track surface was very smooth with wood jumps, and clay surface. This track also accommodates the Oval Racing, and so the track surface was incredibly smooth, and very well maintained. MC (Clay) tires were the tires of choice for all the trucks, coupled with FTM Grip it was a great day of racing.

The final leg of racing was hosted by Railyard Hobbies. This was my first time making it to this track, and it was very much worth the long drive from Hagerstown, MD. The track was smooth, and a very fun layout. MC (Clay) tires were the best tires for the job. The local racers definitely set the bar high with incredibly dialed vehicles in every class, and were very open to giving advice, and giving a helping hand wherever possible.

The Mid-Atlantic Winter series was a great series, and I personally cannot wait for the next series.

The vehicles have the following accessories:

This past weekend on Jan 3 was the Opening Race for 2015 at The Track, in Gaithersburg, MD. With over 160 entries, the fierce competition was present in each and every single heat of qualifying, and at an all time high in all of the Mains. Mimi Wong, the track and hobby shop owner pulled out all the stops with getting the facility prepped, and ensuring that everything was top notch for the first race day of the New Year. Making a very good impression, and having her actions speak louder than words that “We are here to race.”
