Casey Peck Ice Breaker

This weekend I traveled to Star City Hobbies in El Paso, TX to compete in the first ever Ice Breaker Nitro series. Racers came from New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona to join in on the loamy fun. With right at 80 entries everyone agreed that the event was great success. 3 full heats of Nitro Buggy made the competition quite fierce, and the rough track keep us all on our toes.

Pro-Line M3 Hole Shots and SwitchBlades were my choice for qualifying with Hole Shots being the fastest on the wet track. Read the rest of this entry »

This past weekend marked the end of the JBRL Series, at the RC Tracks of Las Vegas. This was such a great series. Everyone had a lot of fun, as always. I had a rough start to the day in the qualifying rounds. But picked up the pace in the Mains, and all in all, I am happy with the results.

Todays last race Started out quite wet. In Semi-A there was a heavy rain, but the track handled the water quite well.

In Semi-B tt rained even worse and almost the whole field had flame-outs.

This past week at Stateline Raceway was the 2017 1/8th scale Off-Road Fuel Nationals. Wednesday was controlled practice; the track was very dusty and had low grip to start with, but then the track was getting better as the week went on. The track seemed to worsen every day. My cars were gaining traction and going through the bumps good all week.

The Buggy tires I ran were: Pro-Line X3 Switchblade, M3 Buckshot, and Triple Silver Blockade. The Truggy tires I ran were: Pro-Line M3 ElectroShot, M3 Buckshot and triple silver Buckshot. Read the rest of this entry »

TOP-3-IC

The 3rd round of Czech 1:8 Nationals took place last weekend in Dolni Bukovsko. Organisers prepared whole area very nice, track was huuuge and it was a real challenge for electronics/engines in 30+ °C temperatures.

Took double TQ and Win in Nitro and 2nd place in E-Buggy behind Martin! I used Switchblades X2, while Martin took the win in E-Buggy on ElectroShots X2. Read the rest of this entry »

Xray

The first round of 1:8 Nationals took place last weekend in Kolin. Local club did great job and prepared whole area very well, thank you!

On Friday, there was a free practice where both my XB8s performed great! The fastest man on the track was Martin Bayer, who was looking super fast.

In Saturday morning everybody got little bit surprised – as expected from weather forecast, the temperate was much lower compared to the previous day, but it resulted in zero traction. This made tire choice very difficult and everybody tried something different.

I used P-L Switchblades X3 in both classes, Martin Won both classes and chose Suburbs X3! Read the rest of this entry »
