Turf Wars round 2 held at Beachline Raceway turned out to be a fun day full of close exciting racing. #Jeremy Mangus did an excellent job announcing and made sure the Mains started clean and if not he brought you back to do a restart.

We headed to Cocoa Friday night after work to camp out with some friends for the weekend. Saturday was open practice in the morning and I could try out my new 2WD SCT. We ended up having to make a few adjustments as it was traction rolling, but other than that it was dialed.
David is really pleased with his Yokomo Buggy powered by #Trinity. He took TQ in qualifying with 13/5:28.365. The Main was an exciting race between David and #Don Tech. At the beginning of the Main Don made a mistake that gave David a good lead, but each lap Don was reeling him in. It was around lap 11 where Don was given the chance to make the pass on David. At that time, we all thought it was over, but right before the last lap David made an awesome pass on the wall ride and took home 1st place by 0.35 of a second.

After a 3 hour ride we arrived Thursday night and started setting up camp. The track looked sick and we couldn’t wait to drive on it. Practice started at 12:00 Friday and we were in the first group on the drivers stand. Not many people were there yet so we got a lot of track time testing and tuning our cars. The track was technical and super fun. A big shout out to Pro-Line Team Manager Brian Lewis who found a way to get our tires we needed to the track since he could not make it. Thank you to Brian Geist for stepping in and helping the Pro-Line Team all weekend.

Last weekend were the 2WD German Nationals held at the astroturf track in Langenfeld.
The Track was prepped nicely and the race started with 2 Rounds of seeding practice followed by 3 Rounds of Qualifying. Pro-Line Wedge Front Tires worked great all weekend. After practice I was able to have the fastest time over 3 laps. I just mounted a new set of Rear tires and my car was set for the 1st Round of qualifying. A TQ run by 14sec over 2nd place. Round 2 and 3 wrapped up the overall TQ. 1 Round of qualifying was still left on Sunday morning which I could TQ as well.
A short break and the Mains started. A1 I was able to build a comfortable lead and take the win by 15-seconds. A2 Again a good start and some fast laps gave me a comfortable lead to win by 9-seconds and wrap up the overall Championship. A clean sweep taking all qualifying Rounds and finals.

This weekend I was able to attend a local turf trophy event. This event was called the “Turf Meltdown” held at RC Madness in Enfield, CT. There were around 75 entries with the biggest classes being the 2WD and 4WD Mod classes in which of both I was competing in.
The first race for this new Year is now in the books for team driver Patrick Hofer. The race was at Austria Hohenems With 160 racers, a big race for the EFAC-Hohenems Club. The track was a high grip carpet with smooth jumps.

Tuesday I raced the “Bonus Night” in the ten week series at RC Madness in Enfield, CT for Stock Buggies. It was an amazing night. My car ran flawlessly and my friends and I had some great laps together.
In the third qualifier I was able to take TQ and the pole position in the Main. In the A-Main I lead from the beginning. It was very smooth clean racing and I had a great time.
