Got out to Butte County Scalers annual toys for tots run at #toddshouse this weekend. I took my class 1 build out for a shake down run. There was a good turn out of rigs and awesome people to crawl with all day.

Today was the first race at Auburn Performance Raceway for the new series Ultra RC Rock racing. I built a whole new truck for the 1.9 legends class. These trucks are 100% Custom Metal chassis have a minimum weight of 7 pounds and just look awesome. I built this chassis all myself and this was the first race on it to see how she did.
Heat one went well I ended up 2nd and could tell the truck definitely needed tuning. So back to the pits it was for a quick shock change on my Pro-Line Powerstroke shocks.

I was able to keep the truck hooked up with my 1.9″ Pro-Line Hyrax Tires to come home in second! Read the rest of this entry »

Got out to Butte County Scalers Wild Mountain Wheeling Adventure this last weekend outside Concow, CA. I set one mean sorrca based course to really challenge guys and myself on this new territory. Only had 6 guys try the sorrca course with me being the only one to finish with a -9.

1.9 TSL’s XLs had my truck hooked up and was able to pull off a couple lines I didn’t think I was going to. A pretty close second was Jeremy Jimmerson with a positive 24 he was running Pro-Line Hyrax‘s and almost finished the course. Read the rest of this entry »

Got out  to Auburn Performance Raceway Saturday night for some rock racing. Haven’t been out in a while and was good to see my racing buddy’s. I decided to run 1.9 trophy earlier in the week and this meant I had work to do in the form of putting a full metal cage on the 1.9 trail truck.

My 1.9″ Hyrax had tons of traction all night and my ’72 Chevy Body I used for panels had the truck looking good.  Read the rest of this entry »

Got out to Reno this weekend to celebrate the Recon G6 Birthday Bash. Everything started Friday night with a meet and greet at CKRC an outlaw Rock racing along with a dollar crawl. I signed up for 1.9″ but nobody else did so I decided to take on all the 2.2″ and just have fun.

Had a great time running with my fellow teammates Michael Pham, Dan Wilson and Matt Wolfe!

My Pro-Line Racing Flat Iron XL  did work and kept the truck  planted as I took home the win for the night. Read the rest of this entry »

Got out to the Nor-Cal crawlers top truck challenge in Redding last weekend. Had a great time doing other things than racing with my trucks. First up for me was the sled pull which is always fun.

My 2.2″ TSL SX XL’s had traction for days. The asphalt and was making my Yeti click and pop and make all kinds of horrible noises until it finally grabbed the chain and flipped over LOL.
As for the 1.9″, the little truck was just too light and only managed to get out halfway but gave my Flat Iron XLs a great beating on the asphalt we’ll just say they’re broken in now. Read the rest of this entry »

Special Thanks to James Goad Photography for the awesome shots!

Had a great time at the U4RC Nationals at Cherry Valley RC Raceway in Southern California. So many great drivers showed up to race was a awesome day. The day started out with a little bit of practice had to get the track down and get my lines figure it out through the rocks in 2.2″ indy. The Rock section at Cherry Valley is definitely one that separates the men from the boys when it comes to U4RC.
First rounds of heat started with 1.9″ Trail in which I was able to take home a second had a great battle with Adam Baker the whole Heat. My second heat was 2.2″ indy didn’t get too great of a start but managed to come back from the back and win that heat.

Ran Flat Iron XL‘s in 1.9 Trail and Swamper XLs in 2.2″ Indy

AxialFest 2016 couldn’t have gone better in my book, Trails were great and racing was fierce.

Add-Layer-Mask

AxialFest racing is an Outlaw style event which means if you roll, your car becomes track art. No corner marshals really makes you have to do work driver!

“My Pro-Line PowerStroke shocks and Pro-Line Flat Iron XL’s worked awesome to keep the horsepower planted. Thanks again to Pro-Line for all you do and for helping me bring home another win!”
