The 2017 Palmetto Classic drew over 200 racers from several states so the competition was very high. Once again Brent Densford and the Beach RC crew put on an amazing event and designed a fun track that had great flow.

I spent Friday practicing and originally planned to run three buggy classes; however, I unfortunately miscalculated my tire inventory and had to scale back to only two buggy classes. I settled on four classes in total, I ran 13.5 and Mod 4WD Buggy along with 2WD and 4WD Short Course.

We attended the 2nd Annual “Drive for Hunger” charity race this past weekend

Great time at the 2nd annual “Drive for Hunger” at R/C Excitement today! we were able to race with friends, and help a great cause! William ran 3 classes today including 4×4 SCT, 4×4 Mod Buggy and 2WD Mod Buggy. We TQ’d in 4×4 Mod Buggy, second in 4×4 SCT….no thanks to his crew chief failing to change his battery…and 3rd in 2WD Buggy, which is the class we’ve most improved thus far. The Mains were back to back to back, and started with 4×4 SCT where William went off the front and stayed that way. In 2wd Mod buggy, we had a great battle with Razz and Keith, and at the end managed to get 2nd. In 4×4 Mod Buggy, William went lights out and took the win tone to tone.

Great times! Special thanks to our sponsors Xray, RCAmerica, Pro-Line, Hobbywing, TeamScream, MIP and Douglas & Co.

Tires: All of our rides were on Electrons in M4 .  We found on this track in its current condition “ghosted” Electrons on the buggies and fresh Electrons on the Pro4 where the dialed set up.  Usually on this track very worn Electrons (slicks) work the best.  Even better than primes.   We’ve found the primes just don’t have the grip over worn Electrons in M4. The EVO SC Clear Body has a reduced parachute effect, a great design, plenty of airflow to cool off the ESC, and it was easy to paint.

Looks great with Electron tires on ProTrac F-11 red/black Bead-Loc Wheels.

This past Sunday was the final North vs. South Series race held between Rocky Mountain RC Raceway and MHOR RC RACEWAY.

It was a 6 race series, best of format between the two. I ended up 2nd in 2WD Mod SC overall and I am extremely happy with the performances of the PRO-2. It has far exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t be happier. My Pro-Line Electrons in MC compound were like gorilla glue on the track and directed my PRO-2 where it needed to be at any speed.

Thank you Chadd and MHOR RC RACEWAY for all the help, support, great facility and dealing with my neediness.

Pro-Line Racing for the awesome service, support and bullet proof products.

Xpert RC USA for support in providing excellent high quality servos, great service and piece of mind in control.

Dirtskinz for the opportunity to show my colors while looking good doing it and protecting it at the same time. This ones for us!

Special thanks to my teammate Zeke Ballinger for giving me a spur gear to keep me rolling for the Mains on Sunday.

Lenard Munoz Jr, for helping me get my suspension dialed in on Saturday even though he wasn’t racing.

Andre Pacelko, for getting my esc issues sorted out.

And last but not least: My family, my beautiful lady, my little girl and biggest fan Nevaeh, and my friends for all the support and dealing with the crazy toy car playing grown child.

JBRL Round 8 – IERC Raceway, CA
9-13-2014

By: Chris Blais

Round 8 of the JBRL Series would take place at IERC Raceway facility in the Inland Empire. The last time I was here was for JBRL Round 1. I arrived Friday to make sure I got a full day practice session in to be prepared for race day. The track layout was fun but had some hard to see areas and racing was tight.

First up this time was 1:8 E-Buggy. My Tekin/ Venom Powered Losi 8ight 3.0 was working great and I was able to pull off 2 good qualifying runs with my hooked up Pro-Line ION Tires. I would be sitting in 4th for the Main event. In the Main I had a great run and when we finally got about a minute in, I kept up my same consistent pace and came away with a 3rd Place Podium position behind Rudy Rico and Ryan Dunford.
