This past weekend was the official start of the outdoor season with Thunder Alley Raceway (Wilson, NC) hosting their Season Opener Trophy race. After a year hiatus from Thunder Alley, the 2WD SCT class was offered again which meant I got to run my Pro-Line PRO-2 SCT.

The PRO-2 ran primarily indoors throughout 2016 on high-bite clay tracks so a few adjustments were required. After a couple practice laps, I felt comfortable with the truck and my Tire selection (Pro-Line Hole Shots). Qualifying went extremely smooth, as I was able to keep everything clean.

My Pro-Line PRO-2, TQ’ed the 2WD SCT division as the truck as able lapping the field en route to winning both qualifiers. Read the rest of this entry »

We had our first snowfall yesterday in IL!  I’m pretty sure people forget how to drive when the pavement if covered so they decide to hit things!

Last Friday I went to one of our youth centers for at risk kids, The Parsons Center.  They loved driving the Pro-Line PRO-2 and I also tried out my new ramp I built to honor fallen officers (The Thin Blue Line).  So I kinda incorporate the meaning behind the ramp paint scheme into these presentations as well. I went to Dewey Elementary School last Tuesday and gave a police presentation to the school. It rained, but was able to let some if the students drive the Pro-Line PRO-2 inside their gym.

Went to participate in a Safety Day with Paw Patrol meet and greet today.

About 200 kids attended and all who wanted to drive the PRO-2, did. I went through a lot of battery packs.  It seemed like all 200 drove the PRO-2 SC Truck!!!

I went to an Early Childhood School this morning for Community Helpers Day and showed off the Pro-Line PRO-2 SC Truck.

They loved it with many cheers and claps. I also talked a deputy into letting me jump over him.

Thank you again for everything you have done for me and the Quincy Police Department. Read the rest of this entry »

I went to visit some kiddos at the Big Brother/Big Sister Program yesterday and showed them the Pro-Line PRO-2.  There was a miscommunication with the time and I was only able to visit with 3 kids in this program, but they had a blast!!!
The Pro-Line Pit Mats were a genius idea.  The kids were able to drive the PRO-2 and used the Pit Mats to sit on while I ramped the PRO-2 over them.   Read the rest of this entry »

Today I went to the YMCA for a scheduled police presentation for kids who attend the summer program.  There was a time constraint and therefore the 30 plus kids were only able to see the components of the PRO-2 and saw it in action by me driving it.

Typically they are allowed to drive it, but like I said due to the time and amount of kids they only watched and participated in the “Evel Knievel” jumps.  Many kids had great RC questions and it was well received by claps and ooohhhhs and ahhhhhhs.  It was pretty awesome.
