2008 Southern California Saturday Series
|
Hello, and thank you for inquiring about the 8th Annual Southern California Saturday Series. This year there will be no Buy-in and you are able to walk on as you desire. Cash only please. No credit cards or checks accepted.
For those of you new to the series, or if you're returning, the 2008 series is shaping up to be a phenominal series. We have a complete list of sponsors already booked with more on the way. We've added a 3rd track to the series. That's right, Hemet RC has reopened from The Dirt Racepark in hopes of rejuventaing The Dirt's legendary tracks and competitive racing. We thank them for greeting us with the series. Thunder Alley is also on board again and has just extended the track another 15' deeper, amongst ongoing improvements to the facility. And last, Pro-Line will continue to be a part of the series as well.
The competition from 2007 was unbelievable. Four out of the 5 champions were undecided going into the final event. This made the racing action intense and unbelievable to watch. With the addition of a 3rd track this year, we are excited to see our racing action develop over the 6 race series.

For those of you not familiar with the Saturday Series, here are some things to help you out in attending the events:
Required:
- ROAR Membership Required
- Personal Transponder mandatory
- Ready to have a good time
Not required but suggested:
- Pit Chair
- Tent
- Table (required at Pro-Line)
- Extenson Cord (required at Pro-Line)

Your two worst race finishes will be thrown-out. Drivers that participate in all 6 race events will receive a bonus, 2 points deducted from your lowest 4 race total. By doing this, we are encouraging all those that sign-up to participate in the whole series and making for a more exciting final race.

You are reserved a spot for each class that you finished top 10 in until March 14th. Please see the signing up procedures above for payment information. If you made top 10 in one class and not another, you must wait until the buy-in opens to be guaranteed a spot for that other class.
