This month has been great racing at our local raceway up here in Victorville, CA. I have been undefeated in 4wd Short Course and Stock Buggy all this month.
This week I decided to try something different and head down the hill to West Coast RC Raceway in La Mirada, CA for some Friday night racing. About 10 of us from Coyote Hobbies would make the trek for a night of exciting racing.
This would be my first time racing Mod Buggy today with my Team Associated B4.1. I have only raced Stock Buggy before and this would be a whole new experience for me. I struggled a little in the first heat but had a little better second heat race qualifying 6th for the A-Main. I would end up 4th in the Main just behind my Coyote Hobbies teammate, Jeff Eide.
I had a great race in Heat 1 of the Pro-4 race taking the win and the TQ. There was a 3-way battle for half the race between myself, Eric Poholsky, and David Jensen. We made a dozen of clean passes on each other throughout the race. It was awesome! I also had a great race with Eric in the main event and was able to take the win on the last lap. My Losi SCTE was working great thanks to my awesome Pro-Line tires and Venom Batteries.
Martin Blais would take 2nd place in the Sportsman 4wd Short Course A-Main and 2nd Place in the Stock Short Course A-Main.
TLR /Pro-Line / Tekin driver Adam Drake takes TQ and 1st in Expert 1-8 Electric Buggy at Silver State Nitro Challenge in Boulder City, NV. The 10 minute final was an amazing battle between Drake, Kortz, Moller, Lutz, and Wernimont. In the final Drake and Kortz exchanged the lead multiple times in the closing laps, but Kortz made a mistake on the final lap that allow Wernimont into second. Pro-Line’s Adam Drake came home with the victory followed by Wernimont and Kortz in third. Drake’s TLR 8ight E 2.0 was powered by Tekin RX8 speed controller, Tekin 1900V, Ecelorin Battery and Pro-LineM2 Blockade tires.
Pro-Line Team Driver Ryan Cavalieri takes home a 1st and 2nd place finish at this years Silver State Nitro Challenge in Boulder City, NV. Pro-Line Team Driver Adam Drake takes TQ and 1st in Expert 1-8 Electric Buggy while local Las Vegas Pro-Line boys Dylan Rodriguez and “Big” Shane looked to have a great weekend. Dylan had an awesome qualifying 2nd in Expert 1-8 Nitro Buggy.
Over 120 entries, great turnout for a nice race facility located in Columbus Ohio. I qualified 7th in the A in 2wd mod corr, took 2nd overall with my FT SC10 with Pro-Line Flo-Tec body and riding on MC Suburbs.
High heat and some wind as usual… it’s Vegas. The Pro-Line team is running strong and testing the new Tazer VTR for Truggy. Here are some pics from today..
On Saturday’s Qualifiers, Patrick qualified 2nd with his Team Associated B44.1 in a close race between the racers.
On Sunday’s exciting finals, Pro-Line’s Patrick Hofer took 1st place very quickly in the A-final and won the first round. Patrick held the lead through the second round and took the overall victory.
The 2012 Neo Buggy Race has come and gone. What a great event with 250 entries and some great racing action. Pro-Line team drivers were in full force testing the new Square Fuzzie tire for 1/8th buggy. Some serious fast laps came from the likes of Tessman, King, and Cavalieri. Pro-Line even sponsored the Curry Cart naming the dishes after some of our famous tires. Heading off to Silversate today look for upadtes from there in the mean time here are some picture from Neo..
This Easter weekend, most of Texas converged down south in Corpus Christi. The weather couldn’t have been better. Sunny with a good strong breeze led to some great racing and great track conditions. I ran E-buggy, with my Pro-Line equipped Kyosho MP9, and 4×4 Open SC with my Pro-Line equipped SCTE. Friday was practice day and I could tell the track would take rubber and be fast. After practice with both vehicles I felt comfortable with setups, and tire choices for the next day.
3rd overall at RCPRO Texas
Saturday showed to be exactly as I thought.
With my MP9 Pro-Line tires were amazingly hooked up. I ran M3 Blockades in the first round, and then went to M3 Revolvers in the 2nd round. However, in the 2nd round I had too much traction, and found myself dialing out traction, even more from practice from the previous day. During the 3rd round, I settled with M3 Snipers, and qual’d 14th overall out of 40+ cars in the class.
In the B main after the sun started going down, the track seemed to loosen up, which was good for me. But my tire choice in the B main wasn’t the right choice. I went with soft M3 Snipers, which were good but not where I wanted to be. I finished 2nd, and took the bump spot.
In the A main, I changed from Pro-Line Snipers to Pro-Line Revolvers 2.0 and the car was awesome. With only 10 minutes in the triple A mains, I had to battle from the back every time.
