Adam and I were married this past weekend. We had a beautiful garden ceremony along with 150 guests that attended.

I never had the chance to meet Ronda Skelton in person. Since I interviewed Ronda in June 08 (Read interview) her interview has been the most visited page of my entire website. This is the proof that she just not performs well on the racetrack; she is also an excellent ambassador for the hobby/sport.

The idea of this interview came after I have emailed Ronda simply to ask her what was going on in her race career. She emailed me back few results of her last races at Silver State. Her reply sounded to my ears like “Hey big guy… Look what I’ve done recently!” LOL I know she can beat me anytime with one of her hands in her back so I quickly reoriented our discussion and asked her if she had tried the new Mugen MBX6T truggy…

MyRCBox.com: This will be the only “personal” question I’ll ask you because I don’t want to go in your personal life. In our last interview, you choose MyRCBox.com to announce to the world who was your new boyfriend, Adam Drake. I know you are now engaged. How are the wedding preparations?

Ronda Skelton: The Wedding preparations are going as planned and the Big Day is almost here!  Adam is a sweetheart and will make a wonderful husband. I am very excited to tie the knot.

MyRCBox.com: Your last interview is the most read interview of my entire website. How do you explain your popularity?

Ronda Skelton: People like to see unusual things or beyond what is ordinary. It’s very rare that you see females racing in any Hobby or Sport. I would like to think my popularity is because I have a unique talent, great sportsmanship, a fair team player, and a good ambassador for the hobby.

Summer¬†is such an amazing time for a wedding…. Mother nature is in full bloom, Birds are singing, flowers are abundant, and Brides are walking down the aisle to say “I Do.”

Of coarse, I am talking about my Pink and black¬†Wedding coming up in August¬†:) It’s almost here!¬† Three more months and I will be Mrs. Adam Drake. hee hee

I know they say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!  Since we were actually in Boulder City Nevada I figured I would share my race results from the Silver State Nitro Challenge with everyone. I raced Buggy,Truggy,and 1:8th Electric Buggy and made all three A-Mains in each class. It was a great weekend for me!  Maybe the New Pro-line Caliber tire put me in the mix with some of the Big Boys of R/C?   Check out the results. http://liverc.com/

As a little girl I was a big fan of Punky Brewster show¬†and this was one of my favorite episodes of the T.V.¬†show.¬† Who would have known then¬†I would¬†race them in real life.¬† All the ladies out there…I hope this will inspire you!¬† lol

¬†Well, these days it’s more about strapping on the shoulder pads and teasing your hair up nice and big.¬† It was the time of Jordache jeans, leg warmers, Rubik’s Cube, Video games like Pac Man, and¬†TV shows like Knight Rider ruled.¬†I¬†am¬†talking, of course, about the decade of the moment, the ’80s.¬†

      

¬†I think the ’80s were fun and wild but not something I want to relive.¬†A time when everything was done¬†over the top, it was the first time for big gold chains and Rolexes, so much glitz and glamour. It represented what we think is bad taste today, while the ’60s seemed more natural, simple. It was the ’80s that led to the so minimal ‚Äò90s.

   

It is the first time in all my years I have really felt my age! So when will this ’80s craze end so we can start obsessing about the ’90s?

  The day after New Years a bunch of us headed out to Thunder alley raceway to practice for the day.  A man got out of his car with a camera and said he was from the local Sun newspaper and asked if we would mind if he took a few photos. We said sure.     Little did we know it would be front-page news!  Check out the article below.

Shouldering her way in with the men is one of the few women who can match skills with them: 31-year-old Ronda Skelton of Fontana.

On October 30th I will go to bed as a 30-year old and wake up as a 31-year old. Thank God!¬† I can’t wait to finally put the whole “turning 30 crisis” behind me. I have a better sense of who I am and what I want out of life then I did in my 20’s.¬†I plan on getting married summer of 2009. I have finally found that very special someone to share my life with and someday start a family of my own.¬†Love can do funny things to people.¬† ¬†

 
Family, Friends, Love, and Happiness are the greatest gifts that life has to offer. Life has its share of ups and downs. So I just want to say thank you for all of the wonderful gifts that I have received in my 30 plus years here on Earth. I do believe we get better with age. Age is just a number and I am not even close to composing my bucket list yet! 

So the other day I Googled my name and this was what I found…Someone had posted my pic comparing which female driver is hotter. Thought it was funny because I am an R/C car racer up against some Big name female drivers in the industry¬†that race: Nascar, Formula 1, and etc.
