I would have never imagined how fast the short course truck class would become so popular here in Southern California as it has in the past year. I’ve been racing my Jammin SC for the past three or four months now around all the tracks in So Cal, from smooth indoor tracks to huge loamy 1:8 off road tracks with monster size jumps. I mainly race at my home track Hot Rod Hobbies in Santa Clarita, CA. We normally have 80-100 entries on a Tuesday night and 70% of those entries are short course trucks. The indoor tracks that I race at are very similar to Hot Rod’s in regards to the entries, so I don’t think this class is going anywhere but becoming even more popular, thanks to the product Pro-Line produces and the manufactures of the trucks!

I’ve been having a blast racing these trucks and I honestly believe its been helping my driving in the 1:8 nitro classes as well. Below is a link to many of my races around So Cal racing my short course truck.

Race Race Race

Hey all you Pro-Line blog readers out there! I want to apologize for being M.I.A. in my blog writings the past few months. My life outside of r/c racing has been pretty boring since the beginning of the year, well I don’t consider it boring since¬†I have been able to race a lot¬†this year. I have been trying to back into¬†racing form and contend at the highest level by club racing as much as possible, I have been pleased with my results this year, thanks to a lot of great new product from PL, things like¬†the new VTR truck tires, wheels, foams¬†and the new Caliber buggy tires have been making racing that much easier and fun!

This year at Jammin we thought it would be best to change up the events we would normally attend and hit up some of the races that we haven’t been able to attend in the past years due to scheduling with other events. I went to an awesome race up in Toronto Canada and got to meet many new racers as well as some that I haven’t seen in some time, and I just got back from a weekend race up in central California that was a blast as well.

Hopefully in my next blog I would have done something interesting other than racing to write about. But I wish everyone a great one and good luck at the races.

Super Buggy

Hey everyone, hope your enjoying this new page on Pro-Line’s new web sight. I wanted to share a little insight on Jammin Jay Halsey’s¬†new “Super Buggy”, It’s a Hustler Concepts single seat racing¬†chassis (total weight is 1600lbs) powered by a Toyota 1650cc 220 Hp engine. After getting the chassis and suspension¬†tuned in¬†over the past month and half, Jay says it¬†is ready for the 08 Corr Offroad Championship Series!¬†¬†

Well I just returned back home in the good ol US of A after a weeklong trip at the Neo-Buggy Race in the UK. This race was a little more special than most other races I’ve been to abroad, mainly because we were able to do a little sight seeing. Myself, Jay Halsey and Taylor James spent the first few days in down town London to do the typical tourist stuff. What stood out in down town London was all the HOT girls, they are tuff, it was very cold and short skirts seem to be the fashion in March. We got to ride the London Eye (big ferris wheel) it showed us an “aces” view of London, as the locals would put it. We got to see Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and a gazillion pubs¬†as well, my kind of town!¬†Congrats to Pro-Line for taking the 1-2-3 win at the Neo Race as well as 11 out 14 spots in the final!

I give UK a big thumbs up!
